I took full control of Samsung Galaxy Y handset few days ago when I bought it from an online megastore. The handset came with full of surprise features that I didn’t knew beforehand. The first and foremost was the Android base with 832MHz processor that made the set to be recognized as smartphone.

The handset has got the looks with a mirrored front and silvery back with a matte finish. The edges are curved and the device feels light on hands with just 97.5g that makes it all the more easier for me to carry it around.

However, when there are pros, the cons also exist. Frankly telling, the size of the screen is just 3 inches and resolution goes around 240x320 pixels. Due to this, various android applications do not work so well. I actually got sick but other features came up to rescue me.

Coming over to other features, the key on the right side of device works as power button as well as screen lock. On the left, as usual, there is volume rocker. Top panel is having a flap to open which has microUSB port. On the rear end, the camera accompanies the speaker phone on a textured base. These features can take anybody to fall in love with the set, just like me.

I found a pull-down menu bar on the home screen that makes it easy to turn off the applications not in use. Navigating, surfing or sharing through Bluetooth is a handy thing but the device is not supported by DLNA. A thing that I found disappointing was that the browser is not able to play flash videos.  But, this didn’t deter my strong and compassionate feelings for this phone.

The Camera has flash but can shoot with just 2 mega pixels under panoramic mode and others that gave jitters to me. Another average thing is its 5 hours of talktime in 3G mode which is decent enough for a 1200mAh battery. This very feature got me hooked to this handset.
